SUPERANNUATION OFFICER DUBLIN 40K+ ... required for well established hospital based in Dublin City Centre Salary: €40/50K depending on level of experience Superannuation duties: Ensure the administration and delivery of a comprehensive and efficient hospital superannuation Service Provide expert advice, support and preparation of files for all employees Provide Pensions Management, HSE, Department of Health etc. with all reports and information required by them in a timely manner Ensure that all employees complete the ‘Verification of Service' forms and that they are completed for all members past and present and maintain records of same, on their pension file. Each employee is added to the appropriate pension scheme All pension deductions are correctly calculated and applied All pension and lump sum benefits are appropriately paid Ensure that all employees are registered in the appropriate pension scheme (Voluntary Hospital's Superannuation Scheme (VHSS) Single Public Services Pension Schemes (SPSPS)) and maintain individual employee pension files Liaise with the Hospital accountant and payroll officer Regularly audit the activities of the superannuation function and initiate changes and improvements designed to strengthen controls and systems. Assist in discharging the Hospital's responsibilities with regard to the requirement to provide  annual benefit statements to the members of the Single Public Service Pension Scheme Establish and maintain library of all relevant circulars Proactively implement all circulars received from the Pensions Management, Health Service Executive in relation to the different schemes. Ensure that declaration forms are completed by all pensioners on an annual basis in accordance with Hospital requirements. Ensure that information pertaining to the VHSS/SPSPS schemes are available to staff through meetings, information supplied at the Staff Orientation, Staff hand book, relevant circulars, open information sessions, etc. Establish maintain and update a suite of Standard Operating Procedures, which will assist in the efficient and effective delivery of Superannuation Services. Keep abreast of all legislative and other developments, which impact on Superannuation  by regularly attending relevant training courses Liaise with relevant organisations and legal representatives on matters relating to superannuation issues. Participate as required in external working groups in relation to superannuation projects and initiatives. Complete the Hospital's Superannuation annual/quarterly return for submission to the HSE for members of all schemes, and any other return that is required. Essential: ·         Demonstrated superannuation processing experience in a public sector environment Minimum 5 years superannuation experience Skills: Have a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative Have financial acumen and ability Excellent communication skills verbal and written Have excellent organisation and time management skills Excellent customer services skills- skilled at dealing with queries and problems A team worker; able to work cooperatively with other members of the finance team.
