Role: Finance Business Partner Reports To: Chief Financial Officer Contract Type : Fixed Term Contract Role Summary: The Business Partner will work closely with a Regional Operations Manager to provide effective leadership and support across their region and at a high level this will include Completion of monthly and annual accounts for their practices Review and approval of payroll for their practices as well as being an  bank approver for supplier payments Development and review of relevant KPI's for their practices Preparation of budgets for financial years & other projects/capital spend Supporting the roll-out of a continuous quality improvement programme Increase practices revenues through the growth and retention of patients, new service initiatives and 3rd party relationships Communicating effectively with colleagues from different disciplines including doctors, nurses, administrators and third party suppliers Develop strong personal relationships with colleagues & key stakeholders within the region and internal clinical and support teams To work closely with other regional leaders and the senior management team to ensure a joined up & optimised approach across the group across all services (financial, operational & clinical) Key Responsibilities Business & Operational Functions: Key role to deliver the agreed business targets for their area while having an awareness on ways to further improve Develop the annual budget to plan day to day service performance as well as service transformation projects (to include resource requirements, capital expenditure, and any other operational factors that will impact) Work with the Shared Service Finance team to ensure timely completion of monthly and annul accounts Key role in managing cash flow for their practices Work to minimise the funding required for WHT in their practices by engaging with doctors and their advisors (on new contracts, incentives for early payment and final collections) Maximise practice income (to include ensuring that all public subsidies are claimed in line with HSE policy on  a consistent & timely basis, minimising private debt, pricing, etc) Lead the development of & participate in standardised reporting of performance indicators and results Managing the integration of new practices Work closely with the Regional Leads  & PAS implementation team to  develop, deploy & maintain an efficient & effective PAS solution that is scalable across the Group Ad hoc projects as they are required (e.g. new finance system, new budget process, etc) Our People Provide leadership, mentorship and support across all Practices embedding a culture of responsibility, accountability & fairness, that will support our Partners and Employees in taking effective ownership of the services they provide Support change management initiatives by positively engaging and empowering teams to get the buy-in of key stakeholders Work to ensure that staffing levels & skill sets are optimised to support existing and new service planning using the “right person- right patient” mode Patient Journey & Experience Support the development of a sustainable culture of safety, excellent patient care and collective responsibility across all practices Proactively interact with and measure feedback from our Patients on what they are looking for & ways to improve our services that will be meaningful to them Work with multi-discipline teams to evaluate innovative ways to interact with our patients e.g. video consultations Working with the Quality Team to develop, monitor and execute on relevant KPI's Safety & Effectiveness Develop understanding of end to end workflows across Practices and the relationship of these workflows with centralised systems and teams e.g. PAS, Finance & HR and use this understanding to deliver ongoing process improvement, system changes and risk management Working with the management team, develop & implement a set of  operational  & quality metrics and utilise them to drive & inform key service and quality decisions Achieve & maintain CHKS & ISO accreditation Position Requirements: Qualified accountant with experience ( 3+ years) in a dynamic environment Excellent communicator with experience of being able to communicate commercial issues in a way to get buy-in from diverse teams without a finance background Experience of working with diverse teams across multiple locations Skills in project management Ability to extract, understand and interpret  data to drive change Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while being professional planned and organised. A problem solver and able to deal with several tasks simultaneously Ability to work in a team and or on one's own initiative as required Strong IT skills (Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook) with an ability to learn systems quickly and to trouble shoot effectively
