Accounting Technician

Accounting Technician, Small Practice, Greater North Belfast, £18,000 - £23,500 Your new company You will be joining a small Accountancy firm in a town centre outside of North Belfast. This is an established firm that is experiencing a period of rapid growth, that is expected to continue in the next few years. The firm provides general accounting services, primarily Accounts Preparation, Tax and Management accounts to a range of SME's and Ltds. Your new role You will sit within the Accounts team and support them in the preparation of Accounts and with client Tax requirements. You will have frequent interaction with clients via email and telephone and build a strong relationship with them where you can support them with queries and issues. You will primarily use Iris software. Duties will include the preparation of various forms of accounts, VAT returns, general bookkeeping and a small amount of payroll. What you'll need to succeed You'll be an experienced Accounting Technician or part-qualified Accountant having a strong knowledge of the preparation of Accounts Experience using Iris and Sage software is highly desirable You will have general bookkeeping experience and reasonable knowledge of Tax including VAT returns.
