Job Summary:


The candidate should be responsible for managing the Finance department activities including Financial Planning & Control and Accounting in order to support the company's overall objectives, revenue and profitability goals as well as future business growth objectives.


Strategic Responsibilities:


Participate and contribute to the development and refinement of the vision and strategy of the company and contribute to the overall process of management and corporate decision making.


Set Finance department performance objectives, in coordination with the CGM, and continuously monitor progress and development towards organizational and division strategic objectives.


Install best practices, methodologies, techniques and principles in the Finance department.


Provide support, advice and direction on Finance related issues that have a strategic impact on the business Managerial Responsibilities.


Oversee the implementation of Finance department policies and procedures in order to ensure all relevant requirements are fulfilled whilst delivering high-quality services.


Prepare the yearly budget of the Finance department and control costs within the division in order to respect the limits of the allocated budget Technical Responsibilities.


Manage the annual budgeting process and track expenditures in the direction of describing how financial resources will be deployed to deliver the strategy.


Direct financial performance evaluation process in order to examine experimentally the performance of the company and identify its weaknesses and strengths.


Manage accounts payable and receivables to monitor customer credit and ensure adherence to the company's reporting requirements.


Monitor payment transactions by verifying documentation and disbursement requests.


Manage the company cash flow and monitor the treasury operations to ensure proper execution and achievement of financial targets and ensure proper liquidity.


Oversee and check the timeliness and accuracy of monthly, quarterly and end of year closing of all ledgers.


Oversee and consolidate reports and statements such as balance sheets, Profit and Loss statements and cash flow statements to ensure adherence to reporting standards and identify any negative financial impact on the company, if any.


Participate in the budget preparation process, cost allocations/reviews and forecasting in coordination with all departments.


Oversee the development of periodic budget variance reports; highlighting variations and ensuring mitigation plans are in place as required.


Assess new project budget requests, guide capital investments and monitor project budget throughout the project life cycle.


Build and maintain good relations with banks, auditors and the stakeholders, and ensure that the taxation affairs are planned and managed so as to optimize the companies' position.


Review and approve the monthly payroll ensuring accurate and timely payroll process.


Approve taxation plans and reports to ensure tax efficiency, reduce tax liability and maximize eligibility.


 


People Management Responsibilities:


Provide input and support in the process of effective manpower planning including recruitment, training, developing and enhancing capabilities of staff in the department and ensuring a high level of employee engagement and motivated work environment
