Finance Manager

Responsible for the timely preparation of all periodic financial and regulatory reports/statements, bank reconciliations and ageing reports

• Ensure integrity and accuracy of data is maintained through proper controls and checks and balances

• Prepare annual budget in coordination with the concerned departments

• Monitor performance against budget and reports reasons for variances

• The candidate is responsible to ensure the following

Expenses are controlled, approved in accordance with the policy and approved budget as well as prepare periodic forecast for income and expenses.

Application of approved accounting standards and policies within the department and across the organization

Adequate systems are in place to support day to day activities and to facilitate preparation of periodic financial statements and reports

Fixed asset records are properly maintained, verified on a periodic basis, and related depreciation expense is accounted for within approved accounting policies„

No backlog of transactions and regular follow ups are made to clear all outstanding items

All the accruals/amortizations are computed correctly and verified/checked

Adequate checks and balances and upfront controls are available to prevent any operational errors and frauds

• Conduct periodic self-audit to ensure all required functions are carried out in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures

• Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures

• Perform periodic reviews of processes to streamline/automate as needed to avoid manual and/or duplication of work.
