Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Design Compliance Manager to join the busy technical design and build team in Essex.
The Client
Well established and a private owned business whose primary business is construction and construction related activities including:
New Housing and Development
New Social and Education projects
Major Refurbishment
Estate and Area Regeneration
Decent Homes/Planned Maintenance
Reactive Maintenance
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join their growing busy technical design and build department. You will be responsible for managing the design process for design and build contracts and traditional contracts with construction design portions.
The role would suit a self-motivated and ambitious individual who is keen to build their career within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will act as the primary contact for the design teams, clients and production teams. You would be reporting the associate director of the Technical Design and Build Department.
The successful candidate will required to:
Advise on cost effectiveness of alternative methods of construction.
Co-ordinate the design information supplied to the construction division.
Manage compliance checks against specification and client requirements.
Manage design output to agreed programmes.
Liaise with local authorities, building control, building warranty providers and planning departments.
You must have experience of:
Demonstrating a continuous professional construction background in a design based discipline with professional qualifications, relevant professional institute membership desirable.
Substantial experience of new build residential projects.
A good working knowledge of Town Planning processes, Building Regulations and NHBC Technical Standards.
A good appreciation of building services.
Good team player with ability to liaise confidently and professionally with clients, consultants and construction teams.
