The client are the market leading town planning company (property company) in the UK. The business is well established with over 10 years of trading history and turnover in excess of £22m (with 16 core owners working in the business).

They have their flagship offices in Central London.

Description

The successful Credit Controller with AAT study support will carry out the following responsibilities:

• Debt collection. Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales, regular communication with the company's clients and close collaborative working with all of the company's directors.
• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity for each outstanding invoice.
• Processing of sales invoices on Sage Line 50 and Union Square (project information and billing system) in addition to the updating of invoicing spreadsheets.
• Provide accurate advice on invoice queries.
• Maintenance of the sales ledger and regular reconciliation of the sales ledger.
• Daily posting of bank receipts for allocation of inbound cash receipts to accounts.
• Weekly reporting of debt position and cash collection to company directors.
• Production of management information as requested.
• To ensure that all sales ledger transactions are processed correctly and to carry out the month end accounting procedures to close the ledger and compile debtor's reports.
• Assisting the Financial Controller and Management accountant with month end and year end accounting procedures.
• To attend regular Debtors and finance team meetings.
• To assist with any other Ad Hoc duties required as and when the business may require them.

Profile

The successful Credit Controller with AAT Study Support will be:

• Good, relevant a levels to accountancy
• Proficient in excel
• The ability to work with directors confidently
• Work in a small finance team
• Excellent telephone manner
• Previous experience of sales ledger and credit control
• Knowledge of accountancy packages and Microsoft office packages - Sage 50 will be used for this role
