Job Vacancy: OFM Solutions is seeking to fill a role of Accountant reporting to Partner level. It is likely that the person appointed to the role will be studying for their professional exams or may have recently completed their studies and is seeking an exciting and dynamic role in which they will get excellent hands on experience. Role Description: Accounting & Bookkeeping - a strong emphasis on managing a workflow of source documentation through an accounting system, the maintainance of up-to-date & accurate accounting ledgers, the management of creditor payment runs, the management of trade debtors and actively progress collections, Payroll - the management of client payroll process on Micropay to ensure timely & accurate execution and ensuring payroll tax compliance, Financial Reporting - Monthly Management Accounts reporting with comparatives to plan, variance analysis etc. Financial Planning - Input to professional, effective and robust financial planning of client businesses through assistance in the management of financial model. Other Functions - Strong emphasis on managing and executing a work process in other areas including R&D Tax Credit & EI Grant applications and claims. Further emphasis on seeking ways to become more efficient and save clients money. Qualities of the Ideal Candidate: Qualification - sitting or recently completed professional ACCA or CIMA exams, or CPA is also acceptable. Experience - likely to have been in employment in industry or practise for 2-4 years. Communication & Ethics - this is a client facing role, good verbal & written communication skills will be important, the ideal candidate will apply strong business ethics and seek constantly to do things in the most professional way with clear audit trail. Technology - Accounting & Payroll systems operated are Sage, Micropay & Accounts IQ, experience of having worked on some of these will be beneficial but strong excel skills are important.
