Job Description

Assist in ensuring accurate and timely corporate tax compliance with international, federal, state and local tax authorities. Research and understanding of new and changing domestic and international tax laws. Assist in preparation of quarterly income tax provision pursuant to ASC 740 (FAS 109).

Prepare calculations of US source income percentage, tax depreciation, state apportionment and other calculations required to monitor exposure under IRC section 883.

Prepare quarterly estimated federal and state income tax payments.

Assist with quarterly income tax provision and annual financial statement disclosure pursuant to ASC 740 (FAS 109) and FIN 48.

Gather appropriate information and prepares the following returns: state sales and use tax returns, gross receipts tax returns, VAT returns, alcohol excise tax returns, gaming tax returns, tangible personal property tax returns and other miscellaneous tax filings as necessary.

Perform tax research to assist in determining impact of various transactions (including changes in corporate structure or operations) to foreign, federal, state and local tax liability and reporting requirements.

Assist the Tax Manager in preparing for audits by tax authorities.

Assist the Tax Manager in responding to notices received from tax authorities.

Maintain and organize tax documents to ensure compliance with tax authorities and other regulatory agencies.

Assist with defining, implementing and compliance related to the company??s sales and VAT tax obligations.
Respond to requests from vendors, Accounts Payable and Purchasing for sales tax exemption certificates and withholding forms.
Serve as a resource for tax department management in assisting with the day–to–day issues and inquiries that arise from all areas of the company.

Perform other job related functions as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a concentration in Taxation. Master??s degree in Tax preferred, or any equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.

EXPERIENCE: 2–4 years work experience in large corporate tax function or public accounting firm.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Good organizational and communication skills; strong PC skills including Microsoft applications and proficiency with tax software applications. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential tax exposures.
