Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Financial Controller will be responsible for leading the UK and Ireland finance team that supports 15 sites. You'll manage a team of 5 and be responsible for their training and development.

Description
This is a broad finance role that encompasses the following:
- Producing management accounts and P&Ls,
- Balance sheet and fixed asset reconciliations,
- Coordinating budgeting processes,
- Supporting with statutory accounts, tax and VAT
- Coordinating payroll
- Managing and developing a team of five
Profile
The ideal candidate will be a technically strong qualified accountant with a strong academic background.
Proven team management experience is essential for this role as well as having an exceptional eye for detail and strong analytical skills
Experience with consolidation software and IFRS knowledge would be preferred.
With multiple sites and locations to support, you will be an excellent communicator, particularly at a senior level and will need to build good relationships with many stakeholders both finance and non finance. Being able to tangibly demonstrate Business Partnering will be important.
You will be ambitious and will have aspirations to learn, grow and take on a Financial Controller role over the next 2 years.
Lastly, experience of Navision/Hyperion would be a bonus
