An exciting opportunity to join the International Tax Services (ITS) group.  The role will focus on supporting Northern Trust's EMEA client base.  The successful candidate's primary role will be to work with clients and client service representatives to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax documentation The role will also involve preparing and distributing reporting to clients and internal management to reflect outstanding documents, highlight areas of concern, trends etc. The successful candidate will have a significant amount of direct interaction with clients and their associated client services teams.  Interaction with other tax operations teams, the tax technical team and other relevant parties on a daily basis will also form part of this role. Responding quickly and professionally to all inquiries in an accurate and timely manner and reconciling the accounts in a timely manner to provide the accurate inputs to the depending partner areas is central to this role.  The successful candidate will continually aim to improve the service offered to clients. The successful candidate will also take on appropriate tasks from the Team Manager or Team Lead and escalate issues as appropriate in a timely manner. Principal Responsibilities Responding promptly, appropriately and accurately to queries received from clients and other partners within Northern Trust including client services and other tax operations teams. Building a knowledge base of clients serviced particularly their inherent traits that impact international tax entitlements. Responsible for reconciling client tax documentation records versus system. Providing outstanding documentation requests to clients in a timely, professional and accurate manner. Reviewing draft client documentation as completed by the client and providing constructive and accurate feedback. Providing client reporting as and when required. Escalation point within the team including the escalation of complicated issues to higher level specialist and/or to the Middle Office. Work closely with the relevant contacts within the scope of the process and for clients to provide the best possible service, responding to queries and escalating as appropriate. Reviewing work of others, provide training and control reporting as required. Be aware of all service level agreements in place. To actively participate in Audits/Business Continuity exercises and to assist the Team Manager / Team Lead to ensure awareness in the team. Continuously meet and exceed the expectations and requirements of all clients. Work within a team with a strong willingness to assist others when required, building effective relationships with members of the team and other teams as well. Qualifications / Skills / Experience Demonstrated client servicing capabilities and excellent communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail, good core IT skills - Adobe, Excel, MS Office, Word etc. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with logical thinking ability. Previous experience in reviewing the work of others and also of reviewing and updating processes and/or controls. Previous experience in the preparation and provision of reporting, including high level commentary, would be an advantage Third level qualification and previous financial industry experience is desirable. Articulate and innovative with a demonstrated ability to navigate through obstacles, work under pressure and successfully deliver to tight deadlines in a fast moving business environment. Good organizational skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities. Strong presentation skills, ability to get concepts over effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills.
