Financial Accountant (FMCG)

Working in a high performing, headquarter finance team you will work closely with the Financial Controller and take on a broad remit supporting all financial accounting and analysis work for multiple head office companies. "We are looking for an accountant that knows their debits and credits - someone that can take a hands on approach to the production of key financial reporting for critical group companies and manage the flow of information in the HQ." - Financial Controller ABOUT THE ROLE: Producing monthly management accounts for multiple entities working closely with the Treasury, and Consolidation teams. Producing quarterly forecasts and budgets in line with group reporting deadlines Monitor the established internal financial control environment to ensure that current standards are maintained or improved Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation and support files for audit, fielding auditor queries to ensure that the audit is successfully completed Preparation of tax packs for annual tax returns and dealing with any related queries from tax team Preparation of statutory accounts for multiple head office companies Assist in coaching and developing more junior members of the team Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required ABOUT THE PERSON: Qualified accountant with 1-3 years PQE in a financial accounting role Hands on, practical experience in the production of accounts within a busy, structured company A can do attitude and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the HQ team Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to professionals along each step of their career journey.
