Cost Accountant

Our client, a leading Pharmaceutical Company, are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join their growing team in Kilkenny. The main purpose of this position is to support the financial planning and to assist in the continuous improvement of the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Prepare annual financial budgets and monthly financial forecasts Measure and compare functional costs and resources to the agreed targets Identify and report on any adverse cost trends Report on cost reduction and efficiency improvement proposals The job holder is aware of his/her special responsibility for quality according to the company's policy Actively support the stock counting process to ensure accurate presentation of stock values on the balance sheet Perform monthly reviews on the need for adjustment of the stock valuation in line with Group policies Key Requirements: ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Qualified 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar organisation Strong understanding of cost accounting Keen understanding of financial planning and reporting A self-starter who is a hands on, team player and up for a new challenge Please contact Jessica on 01 5079274 for more information on this role.
