As Finance Analyst (Finance Business Partner), working for a well known Retail business, based in Coventry, you will business partner with the Division to provide support, challenge and insight on all financial aspects of decision-making. You will business partner with delivery managers to provide support across various aspects of decision analysis, budgeting, forecasting and KPI reports. Description
The successful Finance Analyst (Finance Business Partner) will:
- Act as a finance business partner for Delivery Managers and Product Owners
- Provide financial analysis and insight in relation to the development of robust financial models for new initiatives to support high-quality investment papers
- Management of PO transfers, receipting and manual accruals on a periodic basis
- Working closely with delivery managers to provide accurate forecasting across project expenditure, providing insight and challenge into the data, ensuring the Finance team are updated on latest views
- Providing timely and accurate reporting across projects, providing a high standard of analysis to enhance decision making
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
- Support as required around the budgeting and Q2F process
- Monitor realisation of project benefits vs. targets, understanding variances and challenges and flagging these appropriately
- Ensure that the end to end capex and opex impacts of projects
- Maintaining the BAU excel reports for the team, updating working files for business reporting changes, and responsibility for maintaining finance team procedures and process notes
- Present financial information for projects within working group and steering group packs, clearly communicating any risks and opportunities to be considered
- Support Project Managers completing the PIR (Post Implementation Review) paper
- Build and maintain good relationships across finance and the wider business, engaging them as necessary for inputs into financial models.
Profile
The successful Finance Analyst (Finance Business Partner) will be:
- Qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Advanced Excel (pivot-tables, lookups) and PowerPoint skills
- Proven track record of working independently as well as being an active part of the team
- Self-motivated and ability to manage own time
- Ability to prioritise and respond accurately under pressure
- Good levels of impact and influence
- Excellent forward planning and organisation skills
- Very good networking and partnering skills
- Ability to deal with senior stakeholders both verbally and written with strong communication skills, both orally and written
- Be enthusiastic and ambitious - the role offers a clear pathway for progression
