Senior Manager, Finance for General Accounting, Payroll, Risk & Compliance

Responsibilities:  

Major responsibilities include but not limited to;

• Local and foreign currency accounts payable of AKU and AKHMCF operations.
• Coordinate and finalize external audit of AKU entities in Pakistan, UK, East Africa and USA.
• Finalization of consolidated financial statements of AKU and preparation of Board papers.
• Supervise the Risk and Compliance Section of AKU and AKHMCF.
• Monitoring of monthly, quarterly and annual closing of financials and circulation of financial statements for various reporting.
• Monitoring of ERP Financial by coordinating with IT for support, review of various processes for on-going improvement.
• Supervise the payroll function of AKU and AKHMCF, including the retirement benefit plans of the institutions.
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of the local laws.
• Review financial policies and procedures and give recommendations for improvement / implementation to the management.
• Continuous review of processes and implementing improvements.

  Requirements:

• ACA / ACMA / CIMA or MBA from a reputable university with majors in Finance.
• At least 7 to 10 years working experience, preferably in large local or multinational institutions with 4 to 5 years in management position.
• Have sound knowledge of overall financial systems.
• Should be able to multitask and think out of the box.
• Possess exemplary interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
• Excellent analytical skills; Able to motivate team and command respect. Able to communicate relevant trends   and findings clearly and concisely, knowing when to escalate
• Proficiency in computers, especially MS Office particularly MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent timelines.
