Trade LC Document Checker
- Independently check Import & Export documents drawn under LC
- Liaise with customers on document discrepancies and provide appropriate advice on rectification and further handling
- Follow up and attend to acceptances/payments ,dishonour of documents and issue rebuttals if necessary
- Perform transaction recording into appropriate systems
- Attend to dispatch of documents to customers / counterparties and perform day end reconciliation

Qualifications
Candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant banking experience and exhibit the following capabilities / attributes:
• Highly conversant with general LC practice rules (ie UCP600, ISP98, ISBP and URR725), expert opinions and legal decisions
• Familiarity with LCs for the commodities trade (energy, hard and soft commodities) would be advantageous
• Good understanding of trade finance with the ability to evaluate options and provide solutions
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of various SWIFT message types
• Service oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Resourceful and able to work effectively under pressure as an individual as well as in a team
• Proficiency in desktop applications/ IT savvy would be an advantage
