Accounts Technician - Reinsurance

We are now seeking a technical accounts specialist to join an international insurer, in their reinsurance technical team. Tasks: Producing and reviewing reinsurance treaty statements. Analyzing and reconciling detailed general ledger accounts. Maintaining records of company's investments Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and with financial planning. Understanding and implementing financial accounting requirements under Irish GAAP and IFRS and for the Financial Regulator. Assisting the Company's external auditors and Group Internal Audit. Preparing VAT and PAYE returns to the Revenue Commissioners. Assisting the Company's tax advisor for the Corporation Tax computation. Requirements: A minimum of 2 to 3 years technical accounting experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector. Solid general accounting and technical financial accounting skills and some knowledge of accounting standards. Strong end user computing skills, in particular MS Excel. Attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Excellent team worker and ability to work on own initiative.
