Description
You will be required to:
- Undertake the approved internal audit programme agreed by the non-executive directors and shareholder directors that forms the group's audit committees and reports the results of these audits to the committee
- Provide audit committee secretariat for the non-executive director that chairs the appointed committee
- Provide support and guidance to other business staff who undertake internal audits on a mentored audit basis
- Facilitate business efficiency reviews for senior leadership stakeholders
- Facilitate business change following audits or reviews for senior leadership stakeholders
- Provide advice and guidance to the business on issues relating to audit
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Management Systems Group to provide betterment and advancement across all group companies.
- Undertake ad-hoc audits and reviews for the executive directors as requested
- Deputise for the Group Head of Internal Audit at the monthly System Review Group (SRM) meetings and the Risk Group meetings
- Research and assess how well risk management processes are working across the group of companies
- Maintain overview of the Self Certification and Hospitality Register systems
- Provide value-added advice and support (recommendations) on the creation or modification of policies, procedures or processes to ensure an appropriate level of internal control and compliance is assured for the senior leadership teams
Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- a degree and professional qualification in a relevant subject is preferred
- extensive audit and risk management experience
- a minimum of 3 years experience within an audit role
- experience of commercial contracts and key controls
- excellent analytical, investigation and report writing skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work at a detailed level as well as being able to appreciate the wider context
- demonstrable experience of the ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive and constructive manner
- Good PC literacy
- Valid driving licence
Job Offer
Salary - £40-55k depending on experience
