Description
For over 25 years in Australia, Citi's Global Securitised Products team has been responsible for originating and structuring asset-backed securitised transactions. Citi is uniquely positioned in Australia given its structuring expertise and strength in global capital markets distribution, particularly for cross-border securities placements. Citi also extends significant balance sheet to Australian clients in a securitised format.
As part of Capital Markets Origination, there is significant interaction with Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and Leverage & Syndicated Finance, and working alongside Investment and Corporate Banking to deliver the full suite of Citi's product to our clients
Global Securitised Products is looking for an analyst to join its Sydney based team, who demonstrates an earnest desire to develop their knowledge of the sector and has exceptional communication, problem solving and modelling skills. This role will require you to support the senior managers of the team in originating and structuring securitised products transactions.
Key accountabilities include:
Structuring and deal execution support: assist transaction leader in structuring securitisation transactions to meet client, rating agency, legal and other requirements. Under the direction of the team leader, this will require you to liaise directly with clients and assist with co-ordination of rating agencies, credit risk, compliance, legal, taxation and accounting advisers, bond sales and/or syndications desk. For transactions where Citi lends to clients in a securitised format, also preparation of business greenlight memorandums, credit memorandums and financial models
Origination: preparation of pitch books and other marketing material. Keeping up to do date with local and offshore securitisation developments, ensuring the rest of the team are aware of any changes
Ongoing transaction management: Assist with the management of securitisation transactions funded via Citi's conduits or credit facilities provided to other securitisation transactions. For Citi's conduits, includes monitoring performance of collateral, funding, hedging and liquidity management
Support to other areas of Global Structured Finance within the Asia Pacific region as the need arises
Skills and experiences required:
Relevant tertiary qualification with a quantitative discipline
Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with an attention to detail.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Statistical/data mining skills and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to produce targeted analysis and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines across multiple projects.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Proficient PowerPoint and Excel skills
