Description

Commercial Financial Accountant Responsibilities:

• Maintaining, interpreting and reporting of timely and accurate financial data
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly US GAAP management accounts including meaningful variance analysis
• Preparation and analysis of variances to budget/forecast; commentary on business drivers
• Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of action items
• Balance Sheet variance commentary and analysis
• Supporting the annual statutory audit and financial statement preparation process
• Assisting with the review of cross border transactions, ensuring compliance with Transfer Pricing procedures
• Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT and GST returns
• Calculation and management of accruals and prepayments for UK and European entities
• Review of complex calculations and items requiring judgement when prepared by more junior team members
• Developing and applying knowledge of business to provide value-added analysis and support to other areas of the business
• Implementation of best practices within the department
• Other duties as requested by the Finance Manager/Finance Director including cover during periods of high-workloads and absences.

Profile

Commerical Financial Accountant Requirement:

• Studying towards ACCA/CIMA Professional Qualification
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
• Experience with multi-currency reporting
• Credibility to liaise with senior management
• Methodical, diligent, accurate and accountable
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvement through change
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work to deadlines
