The Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing financial statements and reporting for this growing business. Principal accountabilities will include quarterly reporting, analysis, audit and tax compliance and producing financial statements and leading on a number of system projects.

Description

The Financial Accountant in Birmingham will have responsibilities for the following:

  • Preparing the LLP and members financial statements including year-end reporting, audit and tax support to the Group Financial Accountant
  • Completing a full set of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying any issues and implementing changes to ensure issues are resolved
  • Producing monthly updates of the Fixed Asset Register and resolution of capital issues
  • Producing the bad debt provision on a monthly basis, identifying any areas of high risk to senior management
  • Completing the quarterly VAT return
  • Taking ownership of the end to end payroll process
  • Working collaboratively with the Head of Finance, Group Finance team members and other group functions to support the firm and business in the delivery of high quality internal and external service
  • Supporting Operational staff on system training
  • Supporting the Group Financial Accountant on development of new processes and systems

Profile

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Strong IT skills - MS Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, Vlookup and charts), Word and other reporting tools
  • Exemplary attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate professional integrity
  • An effective team member, productive with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills; willingness to listen to others and challenge constructively

Job Offer

£35000 - £42000 + benefits
