Technical Manager (Aircraft Leasing)

Responsibilities of the Technical Manager will include: Preparation and updating of aircraft technical specifications Assist with maintenance of knowledge database Manage the availability and access to technical records Review of supplied documentation in relation to maintenance reserve claims and internal processing of claims in accordance with the provisions of the lease agreement. Maintenance reserves management and reconciliations Provide technical input to lease extensions, sale documents & LOI's Manage the technical delivery of transitioning aircraft to ensure compliance with agreed terms Work to ensure timely (re)delivery of aircraft Perform or arrange Technical inspections at pre-purchase stages & mid-term audits Records review during pre-purchase, mid-term audits & at aircraft transitions Effectively and efficiently manage our technical consultants Conduct reviews of lease agreements as part of the transaction due diligence process for acquisitions with focus on technical related provisions. Support key internal departments including Legal, Marketing and Commercial with contributions as required supporting origination and execution of transactions and the preparation of required documentation. Who you are: You will be an engineering graduate in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with at least 3 + years of professional experience ideally gained in an airline in a technical services role or in a leasing company in a technical role directly related to the job function. You'll be an effective communicator with a strong cognitive style and ability to think conceptually as well as fluidly. You will have the ability to operate at all hierarchy levels including internally and externally with confidence. You will display drive, determination and a “can do” attitude by being a self-starter as well as an excellent team player. You are operating efficiently with strong personal organisation and ability to manage and prioritise workload and deliver to agreed deadlines. You will have gained a strong technical foundation through your experience gained and an understanding of the commercial aspects of the business. You are able to travel as required in support of assigned projects.
