Helping clients of all shapes and sizes, in financial services advisory we support businesses who make a major contribution to the growth of the economy in the UK and beyond. You'll provide financial services organisations of many different sizes with the advice and solutions they need to unlock sustainable growth or navigate complex risks and challenges. You'll help them achieve their business goals, enable them to grow sustainably and in turn help to shape a vibrant economy.

What you'll be doing:

Markets 

Prepares pitch documents and presentations to potential clients and providers of finance  Attends networking events with peers in other intermediary, banking and Private Equity firms Assists in the preparation of marketing materials

Grows sector knowledge and contacts through “on the job” experience

Clients

Preparation of information memoranda / funding documents 

Identifies key selling points and content for inclusion in transaction documents 

Prepares documents to a competent level and ready for Manager review

Review and analysis of financial information 

Carries out analytical review on financial information for inclusion in transaction documents, pitches and marketing materials 

Assists in the indicative valuation of client and target companies

Preparation of pitch documents 

Assists team members with researching relevant information for pitches and prepares pitch documents for Manager review.

Utilises the team, in-house research capabilities and other service lines in order to conduct company, market and sector research to support production of pitch documents

Contribution to client meetings 

Regularly attends meetings; when appropriate, answering client queries.

Takes minutes and proactively encourages the Partner / Manager to follow up on agreed actions Research 

Understands the client market place, identifying specialists within Grant Thornton and related work undertaken, to identify potential buyers or targets

Client relationships 

Builds good rapport with clients, with a clear understanding of their expectations

People 

Works effectively with all members of the team 

Actively seeks opportunities to attend training courses, keeping technical knowledge up to date and developing managerial competencies through in-house training opportunities 

Ensures compliance with internal procedures including the completion of client take-on 

Keeps Partners and Managers informed of progress on each job 

Meets deadlines set by Partners and Managers
