Description
Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:
- Coding and posting all purchase invoices to relevant nominal code
- Obtaining authorisation on all invoices before payment
- Updating invoice status as required
- Processing supplier payment runs, both domestic and international and ensuring supplier payment terms are met
- Generating remittances
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Aged Creditor reporting and ledger maintenance, including debit balance reviews
- Updating FX (foreign exchange) rates for international invoices
- Invoice matching for selected departments on the company PO system
- Managing the Purchase Ledger email/mailboxes, responding to queries when necessary
Profile
Purchase Ledger Clerk Requirements:
- Previous Purchase Ledger experience is preferable
- Experience of using a finance/accounting software package
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Deadline focused and good time management
- Ability to problem solve
- Professional manner when dealing with all members of the company
