Accounts Payable Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a strong and dynamic Purchase Ledger Manager. Responsibilities of role: Oversee, manage, mentor and develop the purchase ledger team of 8 Month end payment checks and supplier reconciliation reviews Monthly sub-contractor payment reconciliations Monthly purchase invoice processing checks to ensure compliance with internal control processes Accurate and timely entry of purchase invoices, ensuring all tasks are completed to achieve month end closing deadline Review uploads for Visa and Mobiles, ensuring accuracy of job costings and GL coding Liaise with other departments, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve queries in a timely and professional manner Identify and develop process improvements that will increase accuracy and efficiency of invoice processing Review processing levels, identify and resolve internal or external issues negatively affecting performance Provide relevant reports to Senior and Middle management Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the position. Essential Criteria: The ability to motivate and manage a team in a busy environment Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly evidence of strong Excel skills Minimum of 2 years experience in a purchase ledger management role Strong communication skills Ability to work under time pressure to meet deadlines Ability to cope with a varied portfolio of work, with reduced supervision Organized and structured approach to work Ability to show initiative and suggest changes for improvement Desirable Criteria: Previous experience in Construction Industry and dealing with sub-contractor invoices Experience in using Exchequer accounting software Bachelor Degree in Finance or Business-related topic CPL Contact: To apply or for further information please contact Aine Doran on 028 907 25629 or apply through the link below.
