  • Working closely with the CEO, this role has overall responsibility for the management of the finance function for the charity, preparation of the charity's budgets and financial planning
  • Strategic development of financial information and system, implementing organisational improvement and development of financial processes and analysis
  • Line management of one Finance Assistant

  • Overall, hands on management finance function
  • Identification of opportunities to assist in continual development of services offered
  • Management accounts
  • Annual fund statements
  • Year–end statutory accounts
  • Create 3 year and annual budgets with CEO
  • Presenting and reporting of financial information to Board being accountable for monitoring of budgets
  • Company Secretary, ensuring regulatory compliance's
  • Investment accounts, liaison with external stakeholders
  • Line manage Finance Assistant
  • Grant funding, fund statements
  • Gift–Aid


To be considered you must:

  • Be CCAB qualified
  • Experienced in Charity accounting, fund and investment accounting
  • Excellent systems and Excel
  • Have line management experience
  • Be autonomous and able to hold ultimate responsibility for finance working effectively within a small team
  • Be experienced in leading on preparation of management accounts, annual accounts, cash flow forecasts, and budget preparation, VAT returns
  • Be proactive in approach to improving processes
  • Be an excellent communicator with internal and external stakeholders

Job Offer

GBP40,000–43,000 salary
