Business Analyst Contract type: Permanent Start Date: 01.03.2018 Location: Nyon Profile: The Business Analyst is responsible for capturing business needs,translating those needs into requirements and ensuring theserequirements are addressed by ICT services and solutions. As such, the Business Analyst is a subject–matter expert with in–depthknowledge of business activities and processes, as well as solutionscopes. He or she helps clients to find better ways of doing things bylooking at changes required within the organisation, guides and leadsthe organisation through the unknown, and anticipates and understandschanges and their impact on the organisation. Purpose: Business analysis Engaging with clients to understand and define their requirements, byorganising brainstorming sessions, interviews, workshops and otherrequirement–gathering techniques; Developing detailed functional requirements, non–functionalrequirements, business rules and use case documentation; Managing traceability matrices that allow all requirements to betraced from the business demand through to testing; Understanding and modelling business processes using business processmodelling, and proactively suggesting process improvements throughbusiness process analysis; Ensuring change requests are identified, documented and included inthe project management process; Producing and reviewing solution design documentation. Subject–matter expertise (product ownership) Working directly with a Business Service Manager and the business toprovide expertise and support in the definition of new business demandsfor high–level and detailed requirements; Defining and documenting UEFAs business processes; Acting as the owner of a product or set of solutions throughout itslifecycle; Assessing risks associated with implementation and contributing tochange management; Over time, specialising in specific UEFA business areas and becomingan expert in the related business processes; Proposing alternatives and influencing decisions on business solutions. Practice leadership Finalising UEFAs ICT business analyst guidelines, procedures andtools applied by the business analyst team in their daily work; Sharing best practices and processes that optimise the businessanalyst teams work and their level of involvement. Testing Documenting acceptance criteria and test cases; Executing functional tests and defect management, liaising withdevelopment teams and suppliers; Facilitating business acceptance and solution validation through useracceptance testing. Training Training the trainers or the users themselves; Producing and reviewing training material (such as operatingmanuals); Supporting the operations teams to ensure knowledge transfer iscorrectly handled; Managing projects, as required.
