  • Assist Head of Internal Audit in the following:
    • Maintain the audit methodology, standards, policies and guidelines for the Division.
    • Develop the yearly audit plan and monitor, track and ensure that the plan is completed on target with explanation for variances
    • Prepare Division's operating budget and allocate the Division's operating costs to other Divisions.
    • Provide annual independent quality assurance over of the audit engagement work papers and audit engagement process.
    • Manage Internal Audit activities, for example:
• Operating expenses
• Facilitate and organise division-wide training for staff
• Internal Audit's projects
• General office administration
    • Track Division's KPIs achievement.

  • Define, improve and manage the MIS for Internal Audit which aims to provide information on:
    • Progress of Audit Plans and explanation for variances if any
    • Provide agreed MIS periodic reports to Management Committee, Board Audit Committee, Group Audit and BNM
    • Support Management request for MIS reports on an ad-hoc basis
    • Internal Audit's expenses to ensure that it is within budget
    • Status on audit issue tracking
    • Staff movements
    • Cross assignments
    • Guest auditors
    • Staff training
  • Work in conjunction with the other Head of Departments in Internal Audit to provide the most effective working practices for Internal Audit.
  • Liaise with external regulators / external auditors.
  • Internal Audit's Division Compliance Officer reporting to the Bank's Chief Compliance Officer.

Qualifications
  • Degree holder or other equivalent qualifications
  • 5 years' experience in Audit function of banking industry
  • Subject matter expertise on audit framework and methodology
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Possess initiative and ability to lead a team
  • IT savvy and well versed with Microsoft Office ie Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint
  • Organised, systematic, meticulous and good time management
  • Resourceful and have good problem handling abilities
