Overview

Primary Role:
  • Ensure timely release of transactions as per agreed service level agreements
  • Provide nostro balances and adjustments to TAPD
  • Active monitoring of breaks and issues to ensure reconciled and suspense items are resolved timely
  • Update of SOPs
  • Lead/Participate in UAT/Project
  • Identify control gaps and potential areas for efficiency gains
  • Face off with internal and external parties on remittance related issues (eg, auditors, nostro agents etc)
  • Prepare management reports
  • Ad-hoc task assigned by Line Manager

Responsibilities

a. Remittance Processing
  • Approve and release remittances and internal transfers in a timely manner
  • Resolve issues and handle queries from internal clients and external counterparties
  • Ensure that procedures, policies and regulations are adhered to

b. Change Management
  • Participate in UAT for system enhancement
  • Identify control gaps and work with manager to review process efficiency and deliver improvements

c. Control
  • Ensure unreconciled and suspense items are resolved timely
  • Ensure end of day tasks are completed


  • Qualifications
    Requirements
    • Minimum 5 years experience in private bank operations
    • Possess market knowledge in Remittance
    • Tertiary education with a good academic track record
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SWIFT
    • Fluency in English is essential
    • Clear written & verbal communication skills with all levels of staff
    • Client-oriented mindset
    • Team Player with ability to work independently and with a can-do attitude
    • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
    • Able to identify key issues and propose process improvement; self-starter
    • Ability to adopt and maintain a logical approach in critical situations
    • Good sense of control and regulatory awareness
    • Ability to work & deliver under time pressure.
