Audit & Accounts Senior Executive

This is a leading, independent and dynamic Firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers based in Bolton, with offices in Manchester and Liverpool. Established for more than 30 years, with a team of over 150 and expanding, they work with a wide range of growing entrepreneurial businesses.

Their commercial acumen and partner-led approach is designed to help their clients achieve their ambitions and financial aspirations. The firm is looking to appoint a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) to join its audit and advisory department as a Senior Executive. The vacancy has arisen due to a period of growth over the last 12 months, therefore they're looking to bring in additional resources to support this and can accommodate the senior in either their Manchester or Bolton office.

Your new job

The Senior Executive will take lead on a range of assignments, and will interact with clients on a regular basis. They must be comfortable communicating technical and non-technical issues alongside the relevant Manager and Partner, and will be involved regularly in finalisation meetings.


Relevant technical audit experience is assumed and the firm expect the individual to take the lead on audit assignments from planning, supervising and controlling the fieldwork through to finalisation immediately. The audit clients range in size and cover a wide variety of sectors. The firm pride themselves in providing commercial and technical feedback to clients which sets them apart from their competitors. Senior Executives consequently need to have a good knowledge of corporate tax, commercial issues and financial reporting matters in addition to a strong audit background.


The firm will invest heavily in the successful candidate to ensure they become the key point of contact for clients, and gain autonomy and client relationships from the outset.


You will be dealing with a selection of very well established, leading businesses from across the region and further afield. We take an entrepreneurial approach to our business, and to our clients' business, and this enables our team to gain significant experience from the very start.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year's post qualification experience and most importantly a desire to succeed and progress within the organisation. ACA or ACCA qualifications will be considered, and the candidate will have trained in a general practice role and benefited from exposure to a diverse range of clients.
