Overview
Moore Scarrott is an exciting and truly progressive accountancy practice, having grown rapidly from its formation in 2001, into a busy firm with over 100 staff and 3 equity partners. It is led by a dynamic team of partners, and is a business that describes itself as truly obsessive about excellent client service. It is a place where staff at all levels are expected to have first class skills in serving clients, anticipating their needs and being truly creative in helping them, and exceeding their expectations.
The firm is now looking to continue that ambitious growth into the future, both in its existing specialties and also in new areas. The firm acts for a large number of veterinary practices throughout the UK, and has developed a strong team and reputation (with a 25% market share) in this business nationwide. It also has a strong presence in agricultural & estates, and general commercial sectors. As part of its growth plan it now seeks a qualified, ambitious accountant to join its veterinary team as a Junior Manager.
This exciting new role will be a key member of the veterinary team, working to support the client portfolio managers and to provide training and guidance to junior members of staff.
The successful candidate will work with a wide range of businesses to understand their needs and will have the opportunity to build a portfolio of clients. This position would be ideal for an individual who has developed and trained within a practice environment and is now seeking a fresh challenge in the form of further development and managerial responsibilities.
The role will also incorporate the reviewing of accounts produced by juniors and the calculation of both personal and business tax. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their commercial skills and would be involved in providing pro-active advice to clients of a range of business topics.
As such the ideal applicant will be commercially sharp, possess a passion for serving clients to the highest possible standard and have a minimum of 3 years practice experience. It should however be noted that experience of working with clients within the veterinary sector is not essential but drive, and a passion certainly is.
In return, for the right applicant, the firm offers an environment where strong performance is recognised and rewarded financially, and also a real prospect of developing and growing their career in a wide range of exciting directions in the future.
