Senior Java Developer

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, on complex financial systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams within the company in order to aid in the successful development, design and implementation of client solutions. Direct contact with the end user will also be necessary, therefore some travel around Europe will be required, as this will enable you to scope the requirements for client projects. This is a hands-on role that will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a truly global business.

Knowledge and Skill:

• 2.1 degree from a top university.
• Experience within Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) development.
• Some experience with Architecture and Design within Java.
• Have familiarity with Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Technical Skills:
  • Core Java, Servlets, JSP, EJB 3.x, JPA, RESTFUL and SOAP based Web Service development.
  • Business Process Management (BPM).
  • JEE Design Patterns and Software Design Principles.

• Strong communication skills.
• Active Team Member.
• UK passport for travel purposes.
• Good time management.
• Comfortable working on your own or within a team both internally and externally.
