Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. Qualifications:
EY has three roles on offer in its Real Estate Advisory Services Team in Melbourne. This Position Description is for a role focusing on transactions, and real estate strategy and advisory for government and not for profit entities .

The EY Real Estate Advisory team is a specialist team with a focus on three core services being, Real Estate Transactions, Real Estate Valuations and Real Estate Advisory. As part of the team you will gain experience across all asset classes. Your clients will include government department and agencies at the local, state and federal government levels. Your role will be to assist them with a range of land ownership, development and tenure issues across a range of asset classes

Candidates should be able to structure and manage complex engagements and want to take ownership of their projects and bring a real sense of passion for their work whilst fostering teamwork and innovative thinking. You should demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex real estate concepts and stay informed of technical issues. Candidates should be able to develop and maintain productive relationships with clients focus on deliverables and prioritise multiple tasks. The successful candidate must be committed to staying abreast of cutting-edge industry knowledge and have the ability to quickly anticipate and respond to the issues of a networked and constantly changing industry.


About the opportunity

In your role as a Senior Consultant or Manager you'll:
  • Undertake and manage real estate advisory assignments relating to transactions of Government held land or policy around land ownership
  • Assist in the preparation of real estate options analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders to government department for new work
  • Real estate cash flow modelling for income producing and development assets in addition to analytic model reviews from a government ownership perspective
  • Market research and trend analysis to inform decision making and recommendations
About you

We're looking for people with the following experience:
  • A bachelor's degree or Masters in a Property, Economics or Real Estate Valuations course
  • Professional accreditation such a CPV of the API or RICS would be an advantage
  • Advanced Excel and Word abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in the real estate field, the Government sector or a relevant role with a private consulting firm
Experience in the areas of Real Estate Valuations, Real Estate Transactions and Real Estate Advisory work with a focus on commercial, retail, tourism and specialised asset classes is beneficial. The candidate must be willing to travel when necessary. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate.
