THE OPPORTUNITY
MSD has an opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our award winning Animal Health Site in Bendigo who was inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame - for Medical Technology & Pharmaceuticals Award 2016.
As a Maintenance Fitter you will contribute to the ongoing success of our Vaccine Manufacturing operation, duties will include:

  • Executing preventative maintenance, calibration and recertification program tasks including;
  • Preventative maintenance on vial and bottle filling machines, automatic labelers, autoclaves and fermenters
  • Calibration of thermometers, pressure gauges, magnahelic gauges and other specialty instruments
  • Contractor management including; inductions, supervision and issuing high risk work permits.
  • Implement facility and equipment continuous improvement and corrective actions
  • Respond to Equipment Breakdowns and Remote Alarms
  • Ongoing Professional Development and Routine Training


Qualifications

ABOUT YOU
To be successful you will have previous experience working as a Maintenance Fitter within a FMCG or Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
In addition you will demonstrate the ability to:
  • Provide First Line troubleshooting for maintenance issues related issues including equipment and machinery operation.
  • Respond to identified Equipment breakdowns as a priority.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance to local procedures and policies
  • Apply continuous improvements to existing equipment and systems
  • Model Safe by Choice and Inclusive behaviors
  • Participate in company sponsored training and events
