Latitude 19 Health is the only GP Practice on Magnetic Island. Our fully renovated practice has been open now for almost 3.5 years and is still growing. We open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. We are situated in a District of Work Shortage.

We currently have 2 doctors and are looking for another to join our super team. We employ two very experienced Registered Nurses to help our doctors, and a pathologist works from our rooms 5 days per week. We also have visiting allied health professionals. Our Practice has 5 consulting rooms, a nurses treatment room and a surgery room.

Magnetic Island is a beautiful island situated just 8km off the coast of Townsville and home to 2500 residents all year round: this doubles during the winter months with the influx of tourists and regular southern visitors. If you choose to live on our island, there is a large range of accommodation or you can reside in Townsville and commute to work. The ferry ride is just 25 minutes and there are 14 services per day. Our island has most facilities you will need: grocery stores, school and kindy, bakery, bank, post office, restaurants, hotels, hardware etc. We have 23 magnificent beaches, awesome walking trails, diving/snorkelling and fishing, golf course, lawn bowls, fitness groups.
