Regional Corporate Actuary, Reinsurance

Our client is a leading multinational reinsurer. They are currently looking for a regional corporate actuary to perform financial reporting and analysis as well as to provide actuarial oversight on risk management and regulatory / risk based capital requirements. It is an interesting opportunity for an experienced corporate actuary from Life Insurance sector to join a leading reinsurer.

In this role, you will perform valuation for assigned business within East Asia region. You will develop projections for financial planning and analysis, as well as communicate appropriate financial analytics, including discussions of major drivers of variances. You will support local business understanding through financial and actuarial analysis. You will review experience studies and analysis on current in-force business. You will also provide oversight and direction to actuarial associates within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or related field
• FSA accreditation or equivalent preferred
• Around 8 years of actuarial experience in life insurance/reinsurance
• Expert knowledge of GAAP and Hong Kong statutory reporting
• Computer literacy, including actuarial software (e.g. AXIS, Prophet) and a strong understanding of Excel and VBA
