Assistant Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has presented for an Assistant Accountant to report directly into the Finance Manager of a growing Liverpool organisation. Duties will include assisting with monthly management accounts, cash flow reporting and assisting junior members of the finance department.

Description

The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

• Producing monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis in a timely manner
• Assisting with the budget and forecast process
• Supporting junior members of the finance/accountancy department with their development
• Cash flow statement production
• Cash book and daily bank reconciliations
• Maintain close relationships with internal and external departments, addressing complex queries
• Overseeing purchase and sales ledger duties when required

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant will have the following background:

• Be an active CIMA or ACCA studier
• Hold the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Be an intermediate Excel user (pivot tables and VLOOKUP's)
• Have previous exposure assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
