Assistant Finance Analyst

This Assistant Finance Analyst role will report into the Residential Financial Controller and provide direct assistance to departments within the Residential business. The role will focus on supporting Department Heads and Office Managers of the country offices across the UK, predominantly with budgeting and forecasting and also with ad-hoc queries.

My client is a leading independent property consultancy, established in the UK, specialising in advisory and agency services across Commercial Real Estate, Residential and Rural sectors. They now operate globally with over 350 offices worldwide and also provide investment services to individual and commercial clients.

You would be working specifically on the country offices, in a team of 5 analysts.

Description

The main responsibilities for this position will include:

• Assisting the department heads of country offices to prepare 2018/19 budgets
• Being the main point of contact for all department heads/office managers and dealing with queries
• Building the next 3 year plan for country offices
• Looking at monthly actuals vs budgets and forecasts to analyse business performance
• Sales/WIP analysis
• Preparing monthly detailed commentaries
• Looking at and analysing specific cost areas
• Occasionally attending board meetings as required
• Business partnering across HR/Finance/Operations teams

Profile

The successful candidate for this role:

• Must be a strong and confident communicator and able to liaise with people at all business levels
• Must have some analytical experience (preferably working with budgets/forecasts)
• Ideally will be working towards a professional qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CFA)
• Must have strong Excel skills (Vlookups/Pivot Tables/Sumifs)
• Must have experience with some Management Accounts
• Experience using SAP/BPC would be beneficial

Job Offer

This Assistant Finance Analyst role is initially a 3 month temporary role, however it has potential to go permanent in the New Year depending on success.

The client are looking to interview this week with a view to getting someone started ASAP. They are offering an hourly rate of between £13 to £18 per hour.
