Payroll & Tax Assistant

If so, then this great opportunity at a small and friendly Accountancy firm in bustling Borough of Camden could be what you're looking for to continue progressing in your Payroll and / or Tax career.

As it's a Maternity cover the contract is expected to last for 9-12 months but could potentially last longer.

Your main responsibilities, if successful, will be to support the Payroll and Tax Manager working on Self-Assessment Tax Returns, processing multiple Client Payrolls and liaising with HMRC for any Tax or Payroll queries.

You will also be responsible for responding effectively to any Client queries and providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both Payroll and Tax Returns, and have worked in an Accountancy Practice before. ATT or CTA qualifications are also desirable but not essential.

Knowledge of Payroll legislation such as RTI and Tax codes will be very useful, as will experience with Earnie Payroll software.

You should also possess a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills and excellent written and spoken English.
