A leading provider in its field, this large national logistics company is looking for an AAT Qualified candidate who wants to develop their career. Based in Chesterfield, easily accessible from the M1, this company invests strongly in its employees and through natural growth is looking to add a new Assistant Accountant to the team. You will take a pivotal role within the finance team as well as the wider business that will ultimately see you develop through your career and your chosen qualification.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will produce valuable Management Information to key stakeholders both internally and externally. You will produce weekly and monthly management accounts for two P&Ls, whilst analysing the performance of the business, preparing budgets and accurate forecasts. You will also be responsible for cost analysis, producing KPI reports, variance analysis, invoicing and credit procedures, building relationships with suppliers, and any ad-hoc work for the Finance Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application you should have completed your AAT Qualification or be actively working towards it with sufficient experience in an Accounting function. You may also have completed and Accountancy / Finance degree or be working towards CIMA or ACCA. Logistics experience is highly beneficial but not essential, meanwhile advanced Excel using Pivot tables and V-Lookups is desirable.
You should be ambitious and hard-working, looking to support the wider business with a track record of success.

What you'll get in return
In return for a working week of Monday - Friday 08.30 - 17.00, you will receive a salary in the range of £18-20,000 dependent on experience. There is also study support available should you wish to work towards ACCA or CIMA and the opportunity to progress your Finance career within the wider, national business.
