Team Profile:
Morgan Stanley is committed to strategic and centralised management of regulatory supervisory relationships and related developments. Specifically, the Global Regulatory Relations Group ("GRRG") is responsible for integrating and coordinating the management of the supervisory activities of the Firm's regulators across all regions and business units, with a particular focus on responding to regulatory reviews and examinations and continuous monitoring activities.

Key EMEA Regulatory Relations Group responsibilities are:
- Providing thought leadership to Firm Management, business units and infrastructure areas regarding MS EMEA regulatory relationships and related developments.
- Managing and overseeing the Firm's interactions with its Regulators in EMEA.
- Managing the Firm's responsiveness to its Regulators including facilitating understanding and clarification of regulatory messages.
- Facilitating open, productive and proactive relationships with the Firm and its Regulators.
- Ensuring the Firm has an up-to-date repository for regulatory engagement records, queries and communications.
- Reporting to Firm Management and other governance and management bodies on Regulatory relationships and supervisory processes, including areas of significant regulatory focus or concern.

Primary Responsibilities:
The EMEA Regulatory Relations team is looking for an experienced Vice President level professional to join our team in London. You will work closely with the senior members of the team and will have an opportunity to contribute and lead a broad range of team tasks, focussing on the Firm's interactions with the Prudential Regulation Authority and playing a leading role in coordinating input on regulatory policy developments.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain schedule of European and UK regulatory policy initiatives and proactively work with subject matter experts across the Firm to ensure appropriate engagement.
- Act as a central point of contact within EMEA Regulatory Relations for all regulatory policy related queries and workstreams.
- Produce MI / reporting on regulatory policy initiatives/developments.
- Facilitate increased engagement with regulators on policy developments.
- Lead management of specific regulatory information requests by: coordination of responses from all contributors; providing guidance and regulatory context for the request; setting up and maintaining SharePoint sites, consolidation and checking of responses / submissions and ensuring that they meet the regulatory expectations; formatting and preparing documents for final submission.
- Lead coordination and planning for regulatory meetings by ensuring appropriate positioning of materials and attendees; provide advice and guidance to attendees and ensure that all planning tasks have been completed (logistics, prep meetings, materials, briefing notes etc).
- Proactive management, coordination and tracking of actions and meeting follow-up items to ensure delivery within agreed timelines.
- Maintenance and tracking of regulatory deliverables, meetings and correspondence on RRG SharePoint site.
- Attend regulatory meetings where appropriate and provide meeting notes and briefings / updates to senior management.

Qualifications:


Skills and Experience:
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- Ideal candidate may have circa 5+ years of experience in a similar high-performance environment.
- Experience in the financial services industry with an understanding of risk and control infrastructure and the UK regulatory policy landscape would be desirable.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy and a desire to take ownership of content in deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication - i.e.: the ability to craft a clear and succinct message.
- Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; SharePoint skills are an advantage.
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and with minimal background.
- Skilled in balancing multiple high-priority projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and an interest in financial markets and Regulatory environment.
- Ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders; gain the cooperation of peers and colleagues, persuade others; mobilise people to take action.
