Description : Our client is the market-leader in their industry, operating across the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be involved in managing the finance function and be an integral part of the operation. The ideal candidate should aspire to progress within one of the companies many subsidiary companies. Responsibilities : The principle responsibilities of the role will include: Production of timely, relevant and accurate management information. Ensure accurate and timely tax returns, including VAT, RCT, VIES & Intra-Stat. Ensure all statutory requirements of the company are met. Preparing for the annual audit as well as liaising with auditors, revenue and other regulatory bodies as necessary. Maintaining internal controls, policies and procedures. Responsibility for the accounts receivable function, including preparing all sales invoices. Ensuring bank accounts are reconciled and funds are available as required. Overseeing accounts payable function. Manage the subcontract ledger & ensure compliance with RCT obligations including: Other responsibilities as appropriate to the position. The ideal candidate should: Be a newly qualified or a 1-2 years PQE Accountant. Have excellent accounting software user and administration skills. Have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
