About the role: We are currently seeking applications for an Operations Administrator to join the Commercial team at our Metropolitan Mine. The Metropolitan Mine is an underground mine located 30 kilometres north of Wollongong near the township of Helensburgh that produces coking coal for export and domestic markets. This role reports to the Commercial Superintendent and is primarily responsible for on-site payroll support. To be successful in this role, you will be self-motivated, proactive and have the ability to deliver optimal payroll and administrative support to the team.Responsibilities will include: Provide a high level of administration and general support to the Operations team Work collaboratively with off-site payroll team, other departmental and site administrators Manage the Kronos time keeping system for the site to ensure payroll is processed correctly Review and process leave applications to ensure compliance with business needs, site policy and EA Maintain site payroll records Develop/compile EOM reports, including overtime reports and leave usage Assist with invoicing and purchase orders Provide operational support including daily production report, weekly manning sheet and entry of production data into SAP About You: Critical to your success will be: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an underground coal mine Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office and Kronos (or similar) Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills Attention to detail, demonstrated problem solving skills and a “can do” attitude A certificate in a Business Administration related discipline would be an advantage but is not essential What we offer: We commit to safety and health as a way of life A culture of inspiration, innovation and collaboration Committed to developing an inclusive and diverse workplace A reward and recognition program Professional and technical development opportunities Support in achieving professional accreditation (site based personnel only) We take responsibility to for the environment, benefit our communities and restore the land for generations that follow Our mission is to provide our employees with an empowered, collaborative, friendly and safe work environment based on mutual trust and respect.
