The Role

Reporting to the Senior Security Officer, the Security Officer will be accountable for implementation and continuous monitoring of the Site Security Standards to ensure a secure and safe environment for all employees, contractors and visitors.

The role is based in Tanami and offers an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, Darwin & Alice Springs ONLY.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure security issues are addressed in a timely and functional manner.
  • Be proactive in all security measures to enhance the performance of security operations.
  • Provide recommendations to the Security Superintendent, staff and contractors regarding matters pertaining to security.
  • Ensuring gold room security procedures are adhered to, with regular internal inspections of work areas and gold room practices.
  • Physical checks relating to the site entry of heavy transport, in particular goods in and off site.
  • Check vehicles entering site for site requirements relating to vehicle safety and arrange escort where required by site sponsor.
  • Produce and issue permanent identification badges to employees and contractors.
The Person

  • Certificate II in Security Operations or equivalent.
  • Security Crowds Control license.
  • Previous Mining Security experience preferred.
  • Senior First Aid
  • Current Australian drivers license.
  • High level of self motivation.
  • Sound interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills.
