The Finance Business Partner role is responsible, as part of the Group Finance team, for the timely completion of the UK/European financial and management reporting. Equally, they will be an integral part in ensuring the Group Finance team provides business support and great customer service to the European Group Shared Services.

Description
The Finance Business Partner role involves:
Financial / Management reporting;
- Involvement with monthly GFR and UK consolidated reporting processes
- Responsibility with team for all financial reporting for Support business areas, to include the production and review of profit and loss accounts
- Internal and external financial reporting including assisting in the preparation of Stat accounts for the UK legal entities
- Facilitate the production of annual budgets, regular reforecasts and weekly estimates. This will involve developing appropriate reporting processes and providing finance expertise
- Provision of ad hoc reporting and analysis for both parent company and local management requirements
Business Support and Analysis;
- Work alongside Support business leaders to develop an excellent understanding of their business to allow you to make a valued contribution in business decision-making
- Provide company wide analysis of key drivers, including internal and external benchmarking
- Hold business accountable for key financial decisions i.e. ROI, Cash Commitments
- Finance support for Shared services businesses
- Target setting, budgeting, reforecasting, return on investment analysis and other ad hoc analysis to support cost control, business efficiency and profit optimisation
Team Responsibilities;
- Develop a strong understanding of Group Finance responsibilities and processes to provide direct support to team members and to provide cover in their absence
- Maintain a flexible approach to allow for ad hoc requests and requirements from the local businesses, the wider finance department and the parent company
- Identify areas for improvement within the team and identify efficiencies as appropriate
- Participation in wider finance initiatives and contribution to Group Finance goals and morale
Financial Control;
- Review and enhance internal controls and identify risk areas within the reported results
- Develop and maintain ROI schedules for Shared Services Business Projects
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner role will;
- be part qualified / finalist level CIMA / ACCA / ACA / CFA
- have previous Management Accounts experience from a commercial business
- have strong Excel skills
- ideally have some experience with SUN and Q&A reporting tool (not essential)
