Background: The mission of Operational Risk Management (ORM) is to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls and emerging risks. ORM accomplishes its mission by: Independently assessing risk, challenging both our historical and proposed practices and working as independent partners with our colleagues to improve our processes Establishing and overseeing the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of risk mitigation tools including internal controls Maintaining an enterprise-wide assessment of the most significant, current, and emerging operational risks to business activities, and ensuring appropriate actions are in place to mitigate these risks Identifying, assessing, anticipating, measuring, reporting and mitigating Citi's operational risk exposure Determining operational risk capital requirements and allocations As needed, driving projects aimed at strengthening controls to enable better decision making about products and service offers Key Responsibilities: As part of the Regional ORM - Risk Analysis & Monitoring team, the candidate will be involved in (a) overseeing the issue and corrective action plan (CAP) management process; and (b) supporting the Country ORM teams across Asia Pacific (APAC) in analyzing and monitoring the operational risks of the various franchises and businesses; to develop work products capturing identified issues, risks, themes, trends that can be used by the Country ORM teams in driving a more effective challenge and oversight over the 1st line. Provide input and support for the development and maintenance of an independent view of the Business Risk Profile and other monitoring tools to enable Country ORM teams to: Identify existing risks themes and/or trends that indicate emerging operational risks Analyze data and form an independent assessment/opinion of risks Facilitate operational risk discussions Drive for decisions regarding the management of the risks Provide support for the development and implementation of controls and processes to enhance the accuracy of ORM operational data and to achieve desired results for operational efficiencies Provide support to enable the Country ORM teams to perform independent and effective challenge and oversight of the business with respect to MCA Provide support for assertions and attestations to be made by Regional ORM Provide support in the organization of the governance oversight process (e.g. quarterly APAC BRCC meetings) Provide support in ORM staff related activities Contribute to the development and implementation of operating activities that are consistent with relevant policies and objectives and to promote adequate information flow with all relevant stakeholders to strengthen management control which includes: Coordinate with Global team for oversight over Loss Data capture and resolution of data issues Provide support to ensure the issue and CAP management process adheres to all relevant policies Provide guidance on queries relating to the issue and CAP management process including all relevant policies and the formal issue and CAP depository system (iCAPS) Provide support for the enhancements of iCAPS, and perform independent reviews on entitlement requests to iCAPS Qualifications To quality for this position, the individual must possess a tertiary degree in Finance, Accountancy or Engineering, with 3 to 6 years of work experience in Audit, Operational Risk or Management Reporting. The ideal candidate should have an eye for details, demonstrates high level of accuracy, possesses a sense of urgency and able to execute and deliver work accordingly to strict timelines. The individual must be a team player and has strong learning ability, as well as a good business understanding of operational activities and the ability to form and articulate his/her independent views. Key Competencies/Skills: Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, etc. Knowledge of running macros will be an advantage Excellent Communication Skills Both verbal and written Able to effectively communicate key message through PowerPoint slides Experience in relating and liaising with individuals of all levels and diverse backgrounds Possess good listening skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders with regards to embracing operational risk activities Primary Location: Singapore,Singapore,Singapore Education: Bachelor's Degree Job Function: Risk Management Travel Time: No Job ID: 16000718
