Accouting / Finance Expert - international trading company

The person in this position will be responsible for the company's operational accounting in accordance with the local Accounting Act and US GAAP and will be a connector of global structures in close cooperation with the Managing Director.

Description

• Continuous process improvement to support growth of the business, provide business analysis to support decision making by leadership teams
• Oversee daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and all supporting detailed documentation
• Ensure full compliance with all U.S. GAAP and Polish Accounting Act
• Ownership of Polish ledgers
• Collaboration/supervision over the processing of supplier invoices and execution of weekly payments by SSCs located abroad
• Month end closing of books, including entering journals onto ledgers
• Statutory reporting, fulfill local tax requirements
• Reconcile cash accounts to bank statements on a daily/monthly basis
• Perform cash management-process and reconcile the monthly payroll
• Manage cash flow and perform overall credit management
• Perform monthly intercompany accounting, communication and balancing with Corporate and other subsidiaries
• External authorities reporting, compliance and periodic inspection

Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in internal accounting department on an independent position
• Experience in comprehensive company accounting
• A very good command of English enabling everyday and free communication (C1)
• Practical knowledge of Excel
• Independence, focus on the solution, decision-making, responsibility, optimism, energy, drive and the ability to build relationships
• Experience in cooperation with an external accounting office and/or SSC
• Knowledge of US GAAP is an additional asset
• Experience in working close to business, negotiation and presentation skills, business intuition
