Business Controller WEE FF – Paris, France – Your future position? 

As a Business Controller WEE FF in our Paris site, you will support the strategies and development of Commercial with sound financial and operations controlling together with interpretive and predictive analysis to allow decision-making by commercial management, leading to improved productivity and enhanced profitability for the division, in order to deliver performance objectives. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

Financial Performance Review: 

  • Perform monthly performance analysis versus target/prior year (Sales, Margin and OPex analysis, headcount and overall business performance)
  • Analysis of profitability by customers and work closely with the commercial and pricing team to find opportunities of growth contribution
  • Build with the regional head, the commercial team, the creative team the annual sales and opex budget in alignment with the global Controlling team.
  • Ensure data accuracy, timeliness and meaningfulness of Commercial financial and KPI data through regular reviews. Perform audits to ensure compliance to policies and procedures
  • Perform ad-hoc and pro-active analysis to support the Commercial and Creation organisation 

Financial Partnering: 

  • Provide guidance to Commercial & Creation team, identify opportunities and develop corrective actions together to meet financial and non-financial targets
  • Develop in collaboration with Regional Commercial Controller the annual operating targets by market
  • Assist in the development of the regions commercial 5 years business plan and annual operating budgets in alignment with regional & divisional goals & initiatives 

Processes and Tools:

  • Work closely with Regional Commercial Controller for improvement, streamlining and automation of reporting processes
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives in the region (KPI setting, automation, Standardisation of performance analysis tools, Definitions & Tools) and maintain regional Lean KPI tool
  • Participation in the deployment of best practices and tools among teams. 

About you: 

Academic Background: 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Business management 

Professional Experience: 

  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the areas of controlling/finance with international background
  • Experience in a similar industry is a plus (FMCG, Fragrance & Beauty, Luxury) 

Technical Skills: 

  • Fluent in French and in English
  • Strong working knowledge on MS office applications ( excel and ppt)
  • SAP knowledge (Finance and Operation Modules)
  • Sound understanding of financial analysis and controlling techniques
  • Analytical skills 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong business sensitivity
  • Strong interest for the perfume industry
  • Ability to work in a creative environment
  • Rigor
  • Organizational skills
  • Individual and team priority management skills
  • Excellent communication skills – with different levels of the organisation
