Description
India is a large country with a population of nearly 1.4 billion. The World Bank has a long and strong partnership with India with a large and growing portfolio comprising 90 projects/$20 billion and over 30 advisory services and analytics. The New Delhi Office (NDO), the largest country office outside the Washington, DC Headquarters, hosts 255 staff and 330 consultants. NDO has an extensive and complex set of administrative processes which are deployed through collaboration of inter-dependent units across the organization, including Headquarters in DC. The Bank is seeking to recruit a Senior Operations Officer (Admin) to reinforce the CMU's capacity to ensure continuous efficiency and effectiveness of NDO processes and services. The SOO-Admin reports to the Country Director (CD) and coordinates with other members of the CMU leadership team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the operations team in preparing for strategic engagement with our task teams on critical issues related to the portfolio and supporting the financial management team on reviewing audit reports and helping the team on miscellaneous tasks.
Selection Criteria
- Candidate should have experience in reviewing audit repots, financial and operational processes and having some basic understanding of project management and working with public sector agencies.
