Job Description
We are looking for a Finance Coordinator to join our Travel & Expenses team at head office in Enderby. This is a vital role that will take responsibility for maintaining travel and expense platforms including the reconciliation of expense submissions & company credit card applications, assisting in setting up reporting packs and KPIs for T&E and on an ongoing basis analyse relevant data to identify trends, exceptions, control deficiencies, etc.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintaining Travel & Expense platforms (Travel Management, Corporate Cards and
Travel Solutions) - Assisting in setting up reporting packs and KPIs for T&E and on an ongoing basis
analyse relevant data to identify trends, exceptions, control deficiencies, etc. - Supporting Month End Closing processes including posting Journals, Balance Sheet
reconciliations, reporting and addressing areas of risks and implementing
Recommendations - Providing operational support/solutions to the business around T&E systems and
policies, ensuring that Financial controls are adhered to at all times - Supporting company’s Carbon Footprint Reporting procedures for T&E area,
preparing submissions, consolidating data, identifying and correcting inconsistencies - Producing procedures and maintain a Procedures database
- Maintaining and implement procedure for each area of responsibility, having the
ability to take the initiative and push forward business processes on an ongoing basis - Maintaining & implement MI stats through the various technologies in use across the
Business - Escalating queries and issues to other departments e.g. Security, POS, Store
Services & Line Management - Producing and publishing business communications
- Delivering requests for information from our internal stakeholders (ad hoc queries)
- Answering queries received via multiple mediums and resolve them queries quickly and efficiently
About you:
- Excellent knowledge of Excel (or equivalent technology i.e. Google sheets)
- Financial experience (Balance Sheet reconciliations, Journal posting)
- Ideally be pursuing a Finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
- Work to tight and strict deadlines
- Comfortable working with large sets of data
- Confident communicator at all levels both internally and with third parties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised and flexible approach to work with a strong ability to multitask
- Enjoy problem solving and have the ability to explain clearly the steps to the
Resolution - Work well under pressure with minimal supervision
- Ability to work using own initiative whilst contributing to the team’s overall objectives
- Actively develop yourself and learn new skills
